Hmmmm...wonder why my post has all the little symbols?  Very strange...I certainly didn't type them in there.

I know you are super excited, and I really happy for you.

Thanks for the encouragement, Suzi. I sure love this place. It's nice to be around people like me. I've moved up to soft foods now and its been a rough few days, but nothing I can't manage for a few more days.

Less Later! (I'd say more later, but I'd rather not. I like being less later. If you know what I mean. :)

Topic: cottage cheese slider food
I hope someone can let me know about low fat cottage cheese, is it considered a slider food?  I would think it would be alright because it is low in calories and high in protein.  Can someone enlighten me I am a weight wise patient and I forgot to ask last week when I was in the office.  I do eat cottage cheese quite frequently as it is easy on the stomach.
Thanks

I set my surgery date for plastics!
May 27th I am getting my TT & Upper Arm Lift with Dr. Nuveen.

I interviewed/had consults with 3 Plastic Surgeons in OKC over the last month and I went with Dr Nuveen for the simple fact he made me feel very comfortable and did not try to talk me into a different operation than what I asked for like another Surgeon tried. He addressed my concerns and took the time to actually draw on me with a marker to show me what he was going to do (he was the only one who went that far in the consult). He offered my the overnight guest suite for recovery since I am coming in from Lawton. Both the other Surgeons said I would have to book a hotel in town.

Dr Nuveen's staff is very friendly and helpful and his office is very nice (although it look like it used to be a funeral home LOL, just by the shape of the building). It is a classy operation IMHO.

I highly recommend anyone considering plastics shop around and go see atleast 3 different Surgeons before you pick one. All three I saw were close in price, I went with the one who I felt best about and he ended up being in the middle on price.

Hey girl!  Doesn't it feel great to be free from school?!  I ended up running in long shorts and short sleeves so just let the skin fly.  They are airing the follow up piece (last I heard anyway) on Monday channel 9 at 6:00.  Fox news also did one but have no idea when that one will air since it is news all day long.

I'm so happy that you are running the 5K!  That is awesome!!!  It is going to be a very fun, exciting, and emotional day.  Would you have thought a couple of years ago that you would be running a 5K?!!!  Awesome!!!

Topic: RE: Liquid Diet
I can empathize with you.  Really I thought the first two days were the worst!  Day 3 I was telling myself that I only had one more day to go and then I was having surgery.  It did help that my husband did the last two days of liquids with me and I didn't cook.  My first two days of liquid I took vacation time because I knew smelling other peoples food would drive me nuts and I WOULD kill someone.  The sugar free popscicles seemed to help.

Welcome to the sleevers club first off! I hope you come visit us over in the sleevers forum (if you haven't already! hehe). I try to make sure I read the sleeve forum every day and greet new people, but of course life does happen!

Yeah, getting use to your new tummy is a real change and the gas, hiccups, burps and bloating feeling are all normal! We have all gone through it. As you go along you will come in time to understand and know your own stomach and works for you and it and what doesn't.

Taste buds are known to change for some, nearly all, so that's why on the boards you'll see posts saying don't go out and stock up on HUGE quantities of items, cause after surgery you might not like them. hehe

Keep on working your sleeve and following your eating plan and exercising sweety and you will do FAB!! I look forward to reading your progress and seeing you get to your goal!!

*big hugs*

I certainly would NOT have surgery if you are not 100% committed to it. To the eating plan, the changes in your life and body and life AFTER surgery. It is a HUGE change. A good one and one that is going to get you healthy and thin, but a HUGE change.

Just take more time if you need it. Don't be pressured or feel you have to just go ahead and do it since you have already said that's what you want. Just go at your pace or not at all! Do more research on the type of surgery you want, or all of them if you are undecided.

There are risks. There are those that do have complications. Will you? No one, not even your surgeon can tell you that. Any time the human body is opened up and forgien objects slicing and sewing and cutting into it with strange chemicals there is going to be a risk. Statistically your chances of a PERFECT surgery and walking out whole and healthy, but, being aware and having a plan in place is a must!

Good luck sweety and do what is best for you!! Be informed and do what you FEEL is right. Pray if you believe in that to help you get the answers you are in need of.

Best wishes and answering prayers to you!

I hope you get this resolved QUICKLY! I'm so surprised that they aren't like already DONE with your surgery since your insurance approves it. WOW! That's just plan crazy. Is there perhaps another surgeon you can go to? One that is on board with what you need done and get it done for you now?

Keeping you in my prayers!
