Topic: RE: cottage cheese slider food
I understand that cottage cheese is a slider food because it goes out of the stomach quickly.  If it had not been for cottage cheese in the beginning I don't know what I would have done.  I do not even like cottage cheese, but that was what I could tolerate best.  I have probably eaten 150 containers of cottage cheese since Feb. 09.  I have lost a total of 90 pounds, but I would like to get the last 20 pounds off.  I have talked to a few people since my last post, and they tell me that it is a slider food.

I'm not sure what you mean by slider food?   But it is on the food list from WW dietician.

I've not tolerated dairy well since surgery, but good luck with the cottage cheese.

Dana, first of all, congrats on your surgery.  My taste totally changed after surgery...can't drink water at all and was a big water drinker before surgery.  I brewed tea with fresh ginger and it worked very well for me.  The ginger really helps settle the tummy.  I just keep changing drinks all the time because everything keeps changing for me.  Good luck and keep us posted.

Congrates on getting your date set.  I live in Yukon and had my surgery on 2-24-10  with Dr. Broussard.  I am thrilled that I did this as you will be also.  I know the liquid diet sounds horrible to you but I know you can do it and it will shrink you liver and make the surgery earier for the doc.  I have lost 43 pounds and and 22 inches.  Amazing. I will support you in any way that I can and will be sending you positive thoughts.  Just don't buy a lot of one thing because your taste will probably chanage after surgery   ( I can no longer drink water and have to use some kind of flavoring. ) Good luck and keep us posted.  Marion
