After being very discouraged I found out they had never received my nutrition evaluation.  So I went and got it and faxed to them myself.  One week later I was approved!!!  I go Tues. for preop class.  Hopefully the 28th!!!  I am so ready for this!!

This sounds like FUN!!!  Nothing like a good excuse for more jewelry and having something pretty that could help you in case of an emergency is great.

I talked with the owner of Alouette's,  she has the beads and supplies, but doesn't have the kits made up just yet.   So you might call the store, or email Leah and let them know what color(s) you want.

See you on the 27th!!!

I saw you at support group last night and you look great. In fact, I think you were at the first support group meeting I attended back in August or September. I thought you were looking good at that point.

I'm 20-25 lb. from my goal, so I'm beginning to be concerned about maintenance. Be sure and keep us updated on how that works out for you.

Congratulations,
Lois

Deb, you are definitely speaking my language! All those old tapes replaying in my head. It's nuts. I've been responding to people's concerns and questions with this answer: I am on a mission and certain foods won't get me any closer to the goal. I can watch other people eat. I can watch the Food Network and think about cooking new recipes that are healthy and VSG friendly. I'm trying to visualize myself in 6 months, then a year. Where will I go, what will I be wearing, what will I be able to do... you know?

My stall hasn't been quite two weeks and the dr mentioned that it started around the time when I added the solid foods in to the diet. That's enough to shock my system again.

Thanks for the words and reminders. I'm not who I was and I never will be again. Breathing and moving forward, taking my thoughts captive and trying to dream thinner, healthier dreams. :D

Thanks, Leah. I do journal my food. I try to sit down and cover 2 days at a time. I agree, every diet I've ever been on  has had it's plateaus, so why am I so surprised to stall on this one? Silly, I know. Thanks for the encouragement!

hello,  I met you last night and I thought that I might tell you that the first few weeks on liquids that one of the things I did that helped me was to make roast and I had the juice from that, and I also boiled a chicken and drank that broth from that also.
