I'm Lisa, the one who'd had surgery a year ago: blond, olive green shirt on. I was sitting directly facing Dr Jim but across the room--the one who admitted I'd been slacking since February etc! I'm glad you enjoyed it last night and if you attend as many weekly ones as you can and/or hit this website on frequent basis you will have all your fears erased (well, we'll try to!) and your questions answered. We've all been there, had the same ol' questions, heard all the things that you might think are odd or unusual and trust me, someone can commiserate with you!
This WILL be the ride of your life, so hang on!!

Yeah, I think it was July or August of last year that I came up to Norman to the meeting. I really like the people up there. Great group of people! It would be great to meet you, as well!

I got your email and invite to this and I wish I'd been able to come up there. I came up there to a clothing exchange last year with a bunch of clothes to donate to those who would want them and I have more now I would love to donate, as well. You'll have to give me plenty of advance notice on when the next one is since I'm 2 hrs away. I don't need any clothes, but I love to give to others who are still on the losing journey :)

Place: Norman Regional Hospital, 901 N Porter, South entrance in Education Center
Topic: Medical ID bracelets (and clothing exchange). We will be making them..the medical ID, that is! You can pick your beading kits up at Alouette's in MWC(733-5300). Mention you need one of the WLS kits. The cost is $9.50 plus tax.
This is open to all, regardless of where your WLS took place!

Thanks for posting this...I am just now getting online here at home! Moved some more of my mothers things tonight. Makes for a crazy week doing her move!
I will bringing clothes, too. Cant tell you just what I have yet as I need to go into my other closet and round them up!

Sounds great! I cant wait to see you again.
The clothing exchange DOES come in handy....we change sizes so quickly it is a way to help out others along their journey, too!

Leah you are so awesome - I know this must help people out both ways! I am going to try to come to a support group meeting the first week of June. I need to update you on where I'm at so far in the process. I'll e-mail you this week
