Shorter, that is a successful vacation! Hope you had fun or got rest which ever was more important...or both...

Good job, Major. Every pound counts. My journey ebbs and flows, some weeks the pounds fall off and others its like they're holding on for dear life. The whole process just astounds me that if you follow the rules, it will happen! I got excited the other day. I veered off course just a bit. I wanted the flavor and texture of that Frito Lay bean dip, so I had some with about a half-serving of fritos. Yeah, I know, I'm a cheater...anyhoo, what was remarkable, was I had a few, then got up and put it away. I didn't have to make myself do it. I had my fill and stopped. That is amazing to me. Not bingeing is just something I'd ever only dreamed about.

Topic: RE: Finished school & gained weight
Wendy, I don't know you & I'm not as far out as you, so I don't have first hand experience with gaining post surgery, only a lifetime of gaining. However, others have admitted to gaining post surgery and many have had success with losing it. Re-commit to protein first, track your intake, exercise, go to support group, go to see the NUT, go see the psychologist, but get started sooner rather than later. I did manage to lose 21# pre surgery on a low carb (South Beach phase I) diet, so with your restriction you can probably do even better.

Is your ticker up to date? If 35# is the worst of it, you can whip that out in 6-12 months.

Good luck!

Great loss, Dana. Good for you.

After a week of an active vacation, but eating out more, I feel pretty good about the results. I ate mostly protein, but consumed more fat and a little more carbs than usual.

Topic: Relocating to Tulsa...recommendations for follow up dr?
Hello everyone! I'm originally a Tulsa girl but have been living in Las Vegas for a while now. I'm possibly (probably) relocating back home soon and wanted to get a recommendation for a follow up surgeon or a WLS friendly PCP. I appreciate any suggestions!

I need the accountability, so here's my info:

Last week: 254
This week: 246

Had a pretty good week. Only been sick once and that because of a new liquid form of medication that was disgusting! It had even made my mouth numb. Yuck. I'll suffer through with pills.

How's everyone else doing?

Go Randy Go!!!!!  This time you are going to be the one inspiring others!  This is YOUR time. This is YOUR moment in the sun!!  Woo-hoo!!

The hardest part anyone will tell you is losing the pre surgery weight.  Once you have your WLS you have the help you need but right now its hard.  Just don't give up.  You can do it!!!!
