For me, the key is getting back to basics. I've started using MyFitnessPal to log my meals, and am back to making lean protein my focus at every meal.
I have to say, though, that ongoing support is really important to keeping me focused and on track. It helps to keep me accountable, and helps me remember that there are others dealing with the same issues that I am.
Just came back myself. Last time I was here in 2010 or 2011 there were a bunch of people here. Who knows what happened.
Hey joejoe2,

Hi MommaHen, You are AMAZING!!! I remember you back in 2009.
You are a role model!!!
I am in the same boat I had my vsg in Feb. 2009 and have gained 20 pounds that I need to get OFF. I live quite a distance from Edmond so I have not been to see Dr. B in about 3 years. Let me know how it went and what he told you to do.
Thanks Bunches
Hi Ciesta,
I had my VSG in 2009 my doctor was Dr. Toby Broussard. I have not seen him in 3 yrs. I have an appointment on the 4 Feb 13.
So, I'm excited about the future. I wish you the best. I know how it is. I gained 15 lbs. We can do this!
I guess everyone got busy. I miss all the chatter that used to be on this board. It really used to be a fun place to come to. I was here a lot a few years ago, but then it tapered off.

I did my revision with Dr. Gregory Walton. He is the absolute greatest and he was able to fix what wasn't done correctly and put things the way they are. He is at Weightwise. Their entire practice is solely bariatrics. He owns part of the hospital where the surgeries are. He and his partner have performed over 2000 weight loss surgeries without a single death. They are not in any of the insurance networks, but they only charge you the in-network charges and writeoff the rest. Check them out, the entire process is amazing and they support you for life.

2013: 20 Funny New Year's Resolutions
When it comes to New Year's resolutions, our family members and friends can get quite creative and even funny with what they resolve to do in the New Year. Here a few good ones I have heard along the way...Oh, and a few of my own!
1. I resolve to stop procrastinating about procrastinating!
2. I will stop sending Facebook messages and emails to my loved ones when they are in the same room as I am!
3. I will use my treadmill for something other than a place to hang my jacket.
4. I will not sit at the kitchen table in my PJ's all day. Instead, I will move my computer to my bedroom.
5. I vow to never take a laxative and a sleeping pill on the same night!
