Marsha, this will sound weird but I have seen Russell's scar and stomach and it looks awesome!! Nothing going on weird here.....he is married and I am married but he happened to be at a support group meeting right after his surgery and he showed off for all of us after we begged him.

I'm right there with you. I wasn't impressed with Dr. Sawan's website, however, I have heard nothing but great things about him from several people who used him. I did a consult with Dr. Panchel and Dr. Goonce but have one scheduled in a week or so with Sawan. Unless he just really rubs me wrong I plan to go with him. I asked Dr. B. if it was his family member would he still refer him and he didn't hesitate, said yes and that his family members have actually used him. That was all I needed to hear.
I'm worried about the down time because I am VERY active. I am choosing November 1st as my time frame because I figure I won't be biking or running as much during Nov and Dec anyway. But, I need to be healed up by Jan 1st for marathon training....considering doing the full marathon this year.

Russell I remember you from a support group meeting when your wife was there having surgery. I actually have my appt with Dr. Sawan for a consult in a week. I really identified with you because i am an over achiever as well and laughed at you when you talked about going back to the gym too soon....that will be me I'm sure. -Amy

I've set it up, went to edit and it won't allow me to show how much weight I've lost before...updating it. How can I do this? Help! :)

I didn't gain any weight after surgery I don't believe? I never heard that I would. Hmmm, maybe its all the gasses they put in you or something? I believe the water and IV would flush all that out quickly. It will just start falling off! I'm not even at my 2 weeks post op yet and I've already lost 15lbs! It's absolutely awesome. Just start walking every morning or night, and it will come off, and drink drink drink of course! :) Best of luck to you sweetie!

yeah im not a diabetic at all... JUST OBESE!! i go to my appt on wednesday im excited and ready to start this new journey in my life, with my husband and my son.....thank you for the support and the response i need it all!
