3 days until surgery!?!?!

Okay I am having surgery on the 9th and I am needing any and all advice before surgery. My surgeon said just not to eat after midnight Thursday. I would think I would need to be cleaned out more?!?!? What to take to hopital and anything else I may not know. Thanks to everyone in advance. Malissa

You will do great..........just go in with a positive attitude. They will clean you out when you are in surgery...........believe me it is much better that way because you don't have to drink that nasty stuff. All you need at the hospital is slippers, a toothbrush, deoderant and clothes to wear home. Good luck. Leanne

I doubt you get this before your surgery but you will be fine. Around the second day you will be cleaned out pretty good! I didn't eat anything after about 9 and I wasn't hungary the next day at all. I thought I needed all kinds of things but you will stay in your lovely hospital gown which is best and you will have a catheter until the second day probably. I was glad to have my toothbrush and my other personal items but aside from that don't worry about it. You may be bring something to read but I doubt you will ever pick it up!
