I am having Lap-Band in 22 Days:uhoh:

Hi. My name is Robyn, but I go by Skye. I am 16 and having weight loss surgery. I am about 120 lbs over weight with a BMI of 42. I have been overweight since I was sexually abused at the age of 7. Eating was a comfort, and a way to hide my pain. However I grew, and I became more unhappy than ever. High School is supposed to be fun and exciting, not full of teasing or ridicule. I have decided that things are going to change. I have scheduled an Adjustable Gastric Banding Procedure with Dr.Holsaeter in Oklahoma City for Dec.23. I hope that this will be a chance for my life to change. I am one of, if not his youngest patients. He was nervous, but I find to be another challenge. (Prove to him, myself and the people that teased me, they were wrong) I am starting to get a little more nervous as the date comes closer, but I'll be ready. If you are considering surgery, do it. If you are young and not sure, do it. It is my goal to lose 115 lbs, and to go back to my old school, go back to those that teased me, and show them that they were wrong.
