Where to go in OK CITY?
Hi Everyone
Well In a couple of weeks we are being flown to OK City for an awards bq my DH is one of the guest of honors, but as you might imagine the idea of going to eat just does not appeal to me. SO I need some info from my friends! Where can we go dancing at night and shopping by day? We are staying at the Marriot down town, and I do know one day we get to go on a tour of tinker AFB- or maybe there is another thing there too. WHat I am getting at is if there is something on base thats 1/2 way interesting don't leave it out!
Please help I did a google and came up with nothing- atleast thats open!
!st time w/ out children in yrs and I want to have fun!
A tour of Tinker AFB?? That would be a yawner!! But that's just me, my hubby's retired AF...but I've never been excited about Tinker....
Staying downtown is a good thing... lot's of places to go eat although not much in the way of shopping. If you get a chance go to the OKC Bombing Memorial, beautiful place and very moving. As far as places to dance...can't help your there...maybe someone else will chime in here and help with that.
Shopping?? Depends on your interest???
Have fun!

Hello! The OKC Memorial is beautiful, be sure to bring your camera AND hankies... because tears will fall. Shopping? Penn Square Mall is great! And if you enjoy any kinds of crafts, go to Santa's Village, they have the neatest stuff there!!! I'm sorry I can't help you with the dancing part, my husband is kinda a party tooter and we stay home all the time. LOL.
Good luck, hope you enjoy OKC. I live in Altus about 2 1/2 hours away, but often go to OKC to shop and just spend the day. Also, they have a beautiful museum downtown, and all kinds of stuff to do around that area.
