Hello all I wondered if it was just me or have any other females here had a problem with reoccurring yeast or bacterial infections. I have had nothing but problems with this sense my surgery. It really sucks too!!!!!!! I have been to the doctor and she explained why this keeps happening, but I want to prevent it. I certainly don't want this to be a way of life. Sorry for such a girly post. Sarah

Well I know you prolly dont think that a 51 year old dude would know the solution .....but ....we have been married 33 years and from our experience we found that frequent douching was the problem. If thats the case then stop it. LOL.... your body will naturallly take care of its self and the yeast and bactrial infections will stop. PERIOD. just let your body naturally clease itself. Oh well just my thoughts on that subject....cuz we been there and done that....................................

Hi again I wanted to ask you about your tummy tuck, I assume that is really painful? I am thinking I might want to do this, but not for sure. How is the pain and what do you have to do to prepare for it if anything. I wont go through another surgery if I have to drink that phospho soda crap, OMG I thought I was going to die, when I had to drink that stuff before my surgery. But really that was the only reason I didn't back out of the surgery, I wasnt going to do that again. ick!!!! How close to your goal weight do you have to be? I did just join Inches Away, In hopes of tightening things up. Thanks Sarah

I had it done 1 year after surgery, I was at 185 at the time. I now weigh 170 and I wish I had waited a few more months before I had the tummy tuck done. 170 seems to be my ideal weight as I have been here for quite some time. He could have gotten a bit more skin if I had waited. It was not very painful at all. It was a big hassle having to where the binders for so long afterwards, but it all worked out real good . I love the fact that the muscles were pulled together giving me back that really flat stomach. I still have numbness in the central part of my abdomen, around my belly button........but I can live with it ...LOL

Sarah, I had surgery the 31st of last month and I noticed right after my first period after surgery, I'm having the same problems. Wish I knew the answer, but if you find it, please let me know! Thanks! Pamela

Pamela. I sure will let you know. I had lots of problems right away too. I felt so bad I went to my "old" doctor and he told me I was going to feel like crap after surgery and that nothing was wrong with me. Hmmmn well a few weeks later a passed a kidney stone. don't want to do that again. After that I got a new doc. Still not 100% happy, but better that the last for sure. Seems like things are worse after my period. Makes me wonder if it is somehow hormonal??? I think the problem started at the hospital with the cath thing. But I would still do this surgery over again. Thanks for your post Sarah

I had the same issue and a freind told me to try eating yogurt twice a day. It worked for me. Not really sure why cuz I am definitely not a nurse but whatever works right. I guess it couldn't hurt to try it. Good Luck and God Bless!
