that's right gorospe's assistant surgeon dr joebob kirk no longer accepts Aetna insurance. what does that mean to you and me? it means we no longer have any hope of recouping the $930 fee that we are required to pay up front!!! it also means that he has effectively stripped us of any appeal rights that we had for any services he rendered!! the email i received states, and i quote, "I have some new changes for Aetna. After long months of fighting and appealing with Aetna, Dr. Kirk has decided to go out of network with them. in short, his Aetna patients are no longer worth fighting for!!!!!! don't know about the rest of you, but i'm going elsewhere!!! these doctors seem more concerned with their bottom line than they do about the financial damage they are doing to their patients!!!!!!!

I'm sorry to hear about the Aetna problem, but in Dr Kirk's defense, he is not the only one to stop accepting Aetna recently. I'm surprised he has accepted it for this long. Good luck with your next surgeon, hope you have a more pleasant experience. Don't give up!! You will succeed!

Please consider carefully before switching! Don't put your life in jeapardy because of money. Dr G and Dr K (IMO) are the best. They have the best track record and if you had decided to use them already there had to be a reason. You were comfortable with them and confident in their abilities. If you did your homework please look back at the reasons you decided to go with them in the first place. If you are truely confident in another Dr's stats and aftercare program and everything about the surgery then that is great go for it with that Dr. There are other good Dr's just don't make the decision based on $1,000 you are worth more than that!!!Good Luck I hope you have a successful journey! Happy losing, this is a great journey!! Janice 258/168/160 goal
