Hello Everyone, I'm new to the list. Very intresting reading here. Well, insurance wouldn't help me. So today I finish securing the fiancing for surgury. Tenitive date is Sept 5. I'll be using Dr. Joya in Puerto Vallarta. Over 10 years experience and rave reviews from previous paitents. Still a little scary, going over the border. I'll be in Mexico for 2 weeks after, to make sure there aren't serious complications. Still not too bad for $12,000, everything included. Has anyone else gone to Mexico for this?

I am very much considering it. Holding out until fall to make that decision for sure. Have you visited the "South of the Border" forum yet? Great info on there also. Good and honest profiles to read of American people going to Mexico. Take care, Robbin

This is kinda embaressing, but I've been having trouble finding the South of the Border forum. I accident fell over it once and it's been avoiding me ever since.

Hi Evelyn, I am usually just a "lurker", but wanted to come out and let you know that I went to Ensenada, Mx. for my RNY and so did my husband and daughter. Dr Aquirre was our surgeon. We received excellent care. I also returned to Tijuana, Mx. (Dr. Fuentes) in May for a lower body lift, and again was very pleased with results and care I received. My RNY was $6900.00 and my daughter went the following year and it was up to $8500.00. Feel free to contact me if you need encouragement. Best wishes. Melodie
