Question about insurance

Has anyone from Oklahoma had the surgery that has SoonerCare insurance throught the D.H.S.? I have that insurance and want the surgery. My Dr. said that I would be a great candidate for the surgery but haven't gone any farther. I am trying to find all the information I can about all aspects of this. Thank you! Melissa

Hi Melissa, I am on Medicaid also and have been trying to find out information if it will pay in Oklahoma. I do know that Medicaid will pay in other states like Missouri. A friend of mine just had the surgery last week in Missouri and medicaid paid for everything. And it did not take very long at all to get approved. But it is so different in many states. If you find out anything at all please let me know and I will also let you know. I have been on a diet for about 4 months and have lost about 50 pounds so far and have really been doing ok. But it is so hard but I would like to lose some so that I won't be so big when I go into surgery. I am still hoping for my surgery. You can e-mail me at [email protected].
