Surgery Date Scheduled
Well I have a date scheduled for 7/21/05 and I am scared and excited at the same time. I just hope I am doing the right thing, so many people are against it, some say I am not that big and should not do it, well my BMI is 47 and that is considered mobid obesity and also I have severe sleep apnea. I have really researched and believe Dr Gorospe is the best of the best in oklahoma. I hope I can calm down before surgery date.
You have made a lifechanging decision so it is normal to be nervous. I must agree you have picked the best surgeon to use. I researched for 2 years then decided against having the surgery. Then I kept running in to people that had WLS and used Dr G and they looked great felt great etc and had nothing but good to say about him. (read my profile) He is awesome and so is his staff and support group. I had mine Feb 23 this year and have had no complications (difficulty adjusting but no complications). I have lost 62 pounds and I was what is considered a light weight starting at 258 pounds (that one always cracks me up, me a light weight LOL)Good luck and happy trails on your new journey.

I know how you feel ..I am also starting to feel the same way you are ..my date is the 18th ..I am going to Dr.Pearce ...so far i think both Dr's are really good ...i have had alot of people at work tell me that i to do not look as big as i tell them...i also have sleep apnea too really bad..i dose off at work and my boss said something to me about it ..i thought i was going to die ...but he now knows what i am going through...well take care Tracy
