Looking for a GOOD support Group

I would really like to meet a good support group before I go and have my RNY done ,,,right now i have a date to see DR.Pearce on the 12 in may ...and I would like to meet people that knows what I am going through and hoping to make new friends and people that understands how I feel ...I have my family but I do not think they really understand ..please help me ...and mabe I can feel alot better about this life change I about to go under ....thanks for your time Tracy

hi tracy. my name is tommy calvert. i had the rny 4/5/04. i really have lost a lot since then. 180 lbs. i am really pleased with the outcome and havent suffered much discomfort. it is a kind of mental trip the first few weeks but the outcome is very much worth it. ive been below goal now for two months. just wanted to tell you to hang in there and you will do great.i wsh you all the best, tommy calvert
