I work for a hospital, filing and collecting on insurance claims. PPO OK is actually just a "repricer" for your insurance company. If your insurance card does not list your company you may have to call PPO OK to find out who it is they send your claims to for payment once they have "repriced" it. They can't authorize or deny. I hope that kinda helps!!

I just had mine done at Norman Regional. I used PPO Oklahoma. Call the number on the back of your card and they will tell you if your surgeon is covered and then ask them which hospital is in your network. I had to pay 2000. because my doctor was covered but Norman Regional was out of network for me because of where I work. It was worth every penny though. I have had no problems at all. And the Staff at Norman Regional was phenomenol. They were nice to me even when I was whiney! Good Luck with your surgery. And be sure you attend one of Dr. Keith's Seminars prior to having it done. christy

I had Unicare/PPO OKlahoma when I had my surgery. It covered everything. All my preop and post op...Even my Nutrition class... But I think that you would have to look in your book and find out...I was approved on my first try...It stated in our book that if was medically necessary and you had to be morbidly obese... Thank Goodness I had mine done in 2003...Our company changed to Cigna in 2004 and they wouldn't even pay my follow up visits with the surgeon as they do not pay for wls....At least ours didn't... Robbin, Hi. I'm Michelle Hebert's friend that she was talking about in her post. Definitely call the number on the back of your card to see who your actual insurance carrier is. I have Unicare and haven't had any problems so far. Good luck. Chells
