What are all of the pre-op tests that are done besides the ekg, echo, psych. eval.? what kind of blood tests are there? I am diabetic, and I am concerned, what if my glucose is still too high, will they hold off on surgery? hope someone can help with this question.

They will do a full blood panel and also a pulmonary function test. My doc also does a physical performance work up. I've known plenty of diabetics that have had this surgery, unless your numbers are in the out of control range, I don't think that will be a problem. Ask your surgeon, each is different with different protocols. Good luck with your journey!! Happy thoughts, Va 5' 3.5" 232/145/1?? -87 pounds -78 inches
