Hi Sarah. I don't like the GNC brand protein powder. I think it tastes gross and is too think. All of the milk shake type protein drinks bother me. I have really had good results from Whey Fruity, Nectar Caribean Cooler, and Zero Carb Isopure. They are all more like fruity drinks and not think. I know GNC carries the Isopure but you would have to the the Nectar brands from a Sport Nutrition store and the Whey Fruity from Bariatriceating.com. They also have Nectars and Isopure too. Good luck. I had a hard time finding what I liked and could tolerate. Now I look forward to my protein drinks. Leanne

alright thanks for the replies. It is nice to know I am not alone here, but sorry for those of you the protein bothers. I have thought about doing the shakes at bed time...at least then I could sleep away the nausia. Thanks Sarah

Every protein shake I tried made me dump - pre-mixed, mixed with milk, mixed with water. I did okay with the Nectars - but only briefly! Now, I find they make me dump as well! I'm a little over two years out and have pretty much been stable for 12 months. I have been trying since surgery to find a protein drink I could tolerate - so far - no such luck!

I bought some samples from www.vitalady.com I always buy 2 of each flavor because I usually like it the first time around, but can't get it down the next. My favorite is the ProPlete Gold Banana Cream - it tastes like the Laffy Taffy Banana candies. Cyndi

I agree with Leanne, the Nectars to me are better. I have always had a problem with the other shakes. You can get samples of the Nectars from Vitalady.com. I mix mine with about 4-5 oz of water and ice with one scoop, not thick at all, kinda like juice, this = 34.5g protein. Hope this helps. Good Luck!!! I too had problems with the protein shakes and tried them all. I finally found that I can drink Hood's Carb Countdown Chocolate milk drink. It is low carb and has 12 g protein per 8 oz. I drink 16 oz every morning for breakfast. Now, I know it isn't as high protein as some other products, but it tastes good and doesn't make me sick - so works out great. I cannot have any product with sweetener in it, the sweetener makes me dump, but sugar doesn't. Go figure!!
