Pre-op jitters

Well, I am down to three days until surgery (Sat. Sun. and Monday) with surgery on Tuesday. I am feeling jittery. I am having weird fears. . like what if I forget that I have the morphine pump and do not use it! LOL Or what if I start sneezing with the tube in my nose. I am also wondering HOW my children are going to handle this. My daughter are 3.5 and almost 2 (on the 20th of this month). And if they jump on me post-op, will I just burst open and explode???? ;) Anyway, I'm sure these are normal jitters. . . but it seems like the next 3 days will just FLY by. I kind of thought this wait would be like having a baby -- be SLOW and neverending. But honestly, this whole process has just FLOWN by. I started this journey on July 26th and I'm having surgery September 14th. About seven weeks. And it's just flown by.

Leslie!!! (((((((hug))))))) its all going to be JUST fine hun!!! My time felt like it flew by too once i was finally approved; its a fun ride, huh?! just WAIT! the losing side ROCKS!!! okay...now I do actually have advice about the little people post op. Keep a pillow handy to use, and place it over your incision when the kiddos are around. I did this with my son after my 2nd was born, and when i had my two hernia ops and had little people everywhere! it works! and it helps them to VISUALIZE that they need to be careful of mommys tummy! good luck hun! Im SO excited for you!
