Hopeful, Excited, but now not so sure....
I have not had the lap band suregery yet but I am in the "paperwork" process....I am 5'8 and weigh 275lbs. I have always had to fight my weight, but after I had my 2 wonderful children, I have gained over 90lbs.
I have several co-morbs., including poly cystic ovarian syndrome...I have read several messsages on this board and others, and now am very apprehensive about the "sagging skin and breast " thing...I want to eventually lose 110lbs. and am willing to lose it slowly and stay healthy while reaching my goal(hopefully in2 years or less) Is there anyone out there that is 39, a woman who fits my profile, give or take, that has had the surgery and has been post-op for 2 years or more that DOES NOT have the sagging skin & breast problem??? I know I will not be able to afford plastic surgery.....What has your DR. told you about what to do to avoid the sagging problem?? Any words of advice are greatly appreciated! I also watched a show recently on the health channel called "A Trash Can of Skin" and was blown away....did anyone else see this show?? She had to pay over $100,000 for her body lift, and they cut over 40 lbs. of skin off her body! Anyway, THANK YOU in advance for your responses, I still want to get this surgery, I would just like to hear from others that have made it through and are now truly happy with their bodies outcome!! Have A Joyful Day!
