Hello Laura, I am very sorry to share the news that Dr. B is no longer performing WLS. This is due to the very large increase in his insurance premiums. Oklahoma has no cap on malpractice awards so he has decided that he can no longer afford to practice medicine in this state. The saddest thing of all is that he is simply the best. He could continue to practice here but he would have to increase his patient load, and that would compromise his extremely low complication rate. He performed the last of his surgeries this month. I do hope for your sake that something will change regarding this issue between now and the end of the year. But it does not look good. It isn't just Dr. B, doctors are leaving this state in droves and it is because of inaction on the part of our legislators. Good Luck to you, Janna

Dr Bosquez will not be practicing due to the rising cost of Malpractice. It has gone up considerably in the last year. Now with Medco being the only malpractice provider he would have to pay $100,000.00 per year for 3 years and at the end of the 3 year conract he must sign and additional $200,000 would be due.. It is very very sad. He is my surgeon. He will be missed.
