Curious about Edmond Hospital.....

If I am approved I am hoping to have Dr.Pearce do my surgery.....what is the hospital like? anyone??? they have an area for WLS patients, correct??? thanks!!!!

Yes, Edmond has a new Bariatric Center. We toured it at it's grand opening. It is very nice & was designed especially for BAriatric Surgery patients, as well as the fact that the nursing staff, etc are trained specifically to take care of us after this specific type of surgery! I am also pre-op but I was able to tour the new Bariatric Center when I went for the initial seminar. Only one word can describe it AWESOME! Every consideration has been made to accomidate the bariatric patient. I look forward to having my surgery their...as soon as I get aproval.... Dennis

Traci, I had surgery in Edmond on July 8th and was released on July 11th. My surgeon was Dr. Floyd. My rating for the new unit is A+. The nurses were friendly, helpful and considerate of my privacy. The equipment (wheelchairs, beds. walkers etc.) were great! I would recommend this hospital. Kelly Finchum Bethany, OK

I am currently researching, checking referances, reputations, credentials of surgeons in Tulsa area as well as obesity surgeries. Are there any informational, question and answer, meet the physcians meetings for those of us trying to make a decision regarding this health issue for our lives. Have got lots off the web site but need much more. Understand this meeting is for post op success stories. Appreciate any info or help. Thanks. ALSO need info regarding what plastic surgeries are needed and paid for by Medicare/Medicaid.
