still need help

Okay, I have had the worst time with doctors. The office of Dr. Walton was the worst! I told them of my situation and that I would pay 1/2 up front and the rest on payments and his nurse stated that they needed the full $30,000 up front! That is it! Does anyone know of a doctor that works with self-pay patients and is willing to negotiate the price? I really need help! Any information you can give me is helpful! Thanks

Hi Shirley! Sorry to hear of your dilemma. My hubby and I used to live in Lawton, we moved to Missouri the first of this year. My hubby had his surgery in Norman with Dr. Ronnie Keith last October and I am using him as well. My surgery is scheduled for July 12. Dr. Keith will do laproscopic. Hubby has lost 80 pounds and he is 9 months postop. I'm not sure how he deals with self pay, but I really believe he would work with you. He and his staff are very friendly! You can get his addy and number off of this website as well. His office is on SW 89th OKC. Good luck and don't give up, I'm sure their is someone who will work with you! Have you tried Dr. Gorospe in Tulsa? I'm not sure what kind of "stuff" he works out; but my friend was self pay and they gave her a SUBSTANTIAL discount for paying up front. Just a thought. Sherri C 242/181/140 -61 RNY 2/16/04

I have heard that Dr. Mark Gibbs and Dr. Kerry Ozment out of Arkansas are about $9,000 cheaper than Oklahoma doctors.

CALL DR WARNOCK IN WICHITA FALLS, HE REQUIRES HIS FEES UP FRONT AND THAT IS APPROX 6500. THEN THE HOSPITAL WILL LET YOU PAY HALF UPFRONT WHICH IS LIKE 6000,AND THEN PAY THE OTHER HALF OUT AT 200.00 A MONTH.I WAS CONSIDERING THIS UNTIL I GOT A FULL TIME JOB WITH BENIFITS. I HAVE TALKED WITH HIS OFFICE ON MANY OCCASIONS AS WELL AS THE HOSPITAL AND EVERYONE SEEMS VERY NICE. I ALSO KNOW OF SEVERAL PEOPLE THAT HAVE USED DR WARNOCK, AND RECCOMEND HIM HIGHLY. I used Dr. John W. Baker in Little Rock and at that time the cash price was $12,200. That was the Dr., hospital and everything.

If you are willing to travel, Dr. Kerry Ozment is in Little Rock, AR and, like the lady before me said, his total price is under $15000 total and thats with the gall bladder removed if you want.Im going to him for a seminar Aug.17th.Good luck.I too am a self pay
