I am going to use Dr. Gorospe. I have my initial consult appointment June 25. What kind of diet does he (or any doctor) make you do pre-op and for how long? Also what diet does he make you follow post op?? I am just so excited to get this done!!!

I didn't use that Dr. I used Dr Floyd, and he had no pre-op diet. Post Op, I was told liquids, or pureed foods only for the first two weeks, water being the most important. After the first two weeks, we determined I would do two more weeks of pureed/toddler chunky food. After 4 weeks, I was eating most everything. But for that first 4 weeks, it was baby food for me - it was just easier and in almost exactly the portion size I could stand immediately post op.

My surgery date is 8-16-04 with Dr. Gorospe. The week before surgery he wants you to cut out sugars, fats, carbs. Three days before surgery date if you can see through it, you can have it. Liquid only..... Hope this helps a little... Jacque
