Oh my goodness, wasn't last night fun. Tornado here, tornado there, tornado everywhere. We were ready to go to the cellar. Thank goodness they ended up going just south of us, but my daughters fiance wasn't so lucky, he was directly in the path. Thankfully no damage, it just skipped around a bit, up and downs and then went down the highway. Now I see there is a tornado watch for Cherokee county, hope it doesn't come here.

We were at the Holiday Inn Express in Tulsa off of 71st & Mingo. Didn't hear the sirens at 1:30 am, and no one came to at least knock on our door!!! We did however hear trampling in the hallway and checked it out. By that time it was moving on!!! Jacque

My son wants to move to Oklahoma City, or Edmond. He was told the tornados were south of Oklamoma City. E-mail me back and tell me what it's really like, please. Raoulene

I moved here in 2002. In 2003 there were 2 tornadoes that went through parts of Oklahoma City. This year there were no tornadoes near OKC. In 2004 they seemed to go north and east, i.e. Kansas and Indiana. It's something you learn to live with, like eathquakes in California or Brush Fires in Arizona, or crime in Baltimore. (That's where we moved from) We have a safe room in the middle of the house away from windows. After saying all that, I love Oklahoma City. It is a great place to bring up kids and there is enough cultural 'stuff' to keep the adults happy. Plus we have our own minor league baseball team here. So we have everything that a big city has but on a smaller scale. I hope that helps your decision.
