Help! Does anyone know a doc in Oklahoma who does Lap VBG?

My hubby and I were approved to have the surgery by a doctor in Houston. Our surgery dates were scheduled and everything and the doctor passed away!!!! His associate is taking over but all I can get out of the office staff is that he is only doing cash patients right now and we are on hold. I asked her about the 90 day period of approval from our insurance and she told me not to worry but I AM!!! We are sooooooooo ready as his date has already come and gone. This was Dr. Molina in Houston and I would sure appreciate if anyone came tell me if there is ANY other doctor that does this type of surgery. God bless you all. Ted's wife, Terri

Terri....there is a Dr. in Enid, Oklahoma....Dr. Greg Walton who does the GBS. I'm not sure if he does the Lap VBG or not, but he would be well worth looking into in order to find out! This is a most amazing man, and even if he does not perform the "type" of surgery you are seeking, I promise you your life will be enriched by simply speaking with him......and.......I"m sure he could probably direct you to someone in this state that could do this for you! His nurse's name is Robyn and she is the most helpful person I have even spoken with in a Dr. office.....so give her a call.....that does not cost much but a little time...... Howdy! There is a dr in Tulsa, OK. that has been doing gastric surgeries since the 70's. He is an awesome man!! I'm not sure if he does what you're wanting, but he does do RNY lap. He and his staff are an amazing group! His name is Louis Gorospe. He works out of Southcrest Hospital. His # is 918-252-2800.
