im about to give all hope up!

well i go back to my doctors office on monday and i have state insurance- unicare-and im so worry about not getting this done its been about 2mths sense i was suppose to get some pre-op stuff done before i can see this surgury and i havent heard about it..im so upset and depressed about everything and im so scared that i wont see my kids grow up either..i have 4 kids and i have about 49 bmi and im only 28yrs old does anyone have any comments?? shannon

Hi Shannon, Don't give up!! I waited 6 months for approval and I too had given up on having the surgery. I got rid of all my old clothes that were too small one month before I found out I was approved. 6 weeks after my surgery, I have lost 55 pounds and feel great! I have heard that if you wore on Medicare they immediately approve you at the doctors office. I went to dr. gorospe in Tulsa and I was told at my consultation that medicare recipients only had to pay around 250 dollars and they would schedule the appointment for surgery. So, keep checking with the insurance..If they need something get it to them as quickly as possible and make sure that you are in contact with the doctors office every week..If you have any questions my email is [email protected] Patti Church

hello all..well i got all my pre- op done my pcp wants me to go to the heart doc sense i have an enlarged heart and wants to see what he has to say and make sure that i can do the surgery..which im trying not to get too excited my pcp did tell after the heart doc says its ok then he is gonna refer me to my sugurn so i hope that im getting alot closer now..and which i hope that the heart doc says ure ok to have it..which that appointment isnt til july 28th boy that seems like a long way but itll be all worth it i think..if anyone has anything to say please feel free to email me please at [email protected] or [email protected]
