I have a sewing machine and some basic skills I acquired in a class at Francis Tuttle and can make a mean apron or wash cloth but as far as altering my clothes, I have no idea. I'm at a stage where the clothes that fit my legs are way too big on my waist. I would really appreciate it if someone who has some skills in this department could advise me how to do it or maybe even show me sometime. I live in the OKC area.

I have 3 suggestions for you:
1. Put a belt on the outside of your pants and then roll your pants down over the belt at the waist. It will help you wear 2 sizes too big and still be able to wear them.

2. Give up on those clothes that hold such bad memories and go to the thrift or consignment store.

3.Take a pair of pants you dont mind messing up and practice. Good Luck to ya!!
