OMG This Will NEVER Do!

So I saw an earlier post about how someone wished this forum was used more... and I thought to myself... YES! I wish the same thing! Then I started reading about the "reboot" program offered at WeightWise and again I thought to myself... YES! that is what I need. So I promptly called and left a message for Chris.

Now then... what's going on that made me re-visit this site almost 2 and a half years after surgery? Plastic Surgery. A 360 body lift to be exact. I made the appointment with Sawan and paid the man and now I am just waiting for the day... but as I wait I think "gee, I hope I am eating properly." (Pause to open the bag of chips that I procured for my lunch) Hence, the visit to OH.

OK, so maybe I haven't been as faithful to myself (and my new arms...and boobs...and future flat tummy) as I should be.... RIGHT.... so I guess its time to unentangle myself from my Snuggie, give all the Dr. Pepper away to the neighbors and remove the left-over Halloween and Thanksgiving splendor that I have squirrled away.

But seriously, how can I go through surgery and all that pain and just sit there on the couch like a bump on a pickle? Waiting to "start" a new "lifestyle change" is exactly how I got into this mess to begin with!!!! So OMG THIS will NEVER do! I keep thinking "What a fine mess you've gotten yourself into here.... just weeks away from surgery and NOW you decide that you need to quit being a slug?" AHHHHHH so I am just sitting here contemplating whether to start some crazy "reboot" diet now or wait until Chris calls and gives me the 411 (and probably drains my bank account with all those supplements).

Anyhoo, sorry for the rant.... that wasn't what I was getting at here... the point is that this forum was at one time a meca for all things weight loss related... and now... its just me... rambling. So I pose a question to all you dedicated readers:

How long has it been since you reviewed your daily diet? Have you slipped and fallen? Are you trying to get up? What works for you when you need that extra little push? Come one guys, lets talk weight loss here... lets get this forum up and running with the most useful and interesting thoughts!

Yes, this site used to be so much more active.  I guess as we all got a little farther out we quit coming to the site and began living live.

Yes, slipping is unfortunately a part of my life now.  I am already scheduled with Sawan for a tummy tuck- next week on the 9th.  I am finding myself making better choices since I actually got a surgery date.  You are so right-- inactivity and poor choices got us in trouble in the first place.  I need to redouble my efforts to get as healthy as humanly possible!

Let's hold each other accountable!  Who is in for the challenge?
I have maintained for one year at this point.  I am steady at -120 pounds.  =)

Count me IN!!!!

I frequent this site, hoping to see a new post, but it is rare that I see one... yet I don't post one.. hmmmm... OH has given me a lot of hope and motivation, so I am all for keeping it going.

My diet is a daily struggle. Not so much watching calories and portion control as it was before my beautiful sleeve, but just thinning out the JUNK, the CARBS and just sticking to the lifestyle change I signed up for.

I have also had a consultation with Dr. Sawan and plan to have the 360 sometime in the spring. This HAS given me more motivation to say no to the extra bites and grazing and has me searching for my water bottle which is usually close by. However, I do faulter... I do eat stuff that is not on Chris's list and am dreading the day it catches up with me.

So, YES, lets do this! Let's keep eachother accoutable. That's what this site is designed for!

Thanks for the suggestions!!!

What is the "Reboot" program? I wanted Dr Walton to do my surgery and went to one of his information meetings, but since I was self pay realized I could not afford self pay there and went to Mexico instead. My sis lives in OKC (thats where I grew up :) ) and might be able to come down for some support meetings if they allow people that did not have surgery with them to attend. Please let me know and thanks. :)

The "reboot" program is a nutrition program designed by Weight Wise to help us post-op people who have fallen off the wagon. You can get more information about it by calling and speaking with a nutrionist at WW. I don't think there has ever been a restriction on who can visit a support meeting at WW. It seems that they are always open to having anyone and everyone who is supportive of weight loss. I wish you luck and hope that you and your sister visit one day. I know what you mean about self-pay.... I saved forever! I think the ultimate goal is to help anyone who needs the help... no matter where they had surgery.

Yes, you can use all of their support systems even if you had surgery elsewhere.  I know because I inquired back when I was trying to decide where to have surgery.  Dr. Walton assured me that I could take part in all of the support options even if I decided to have my surgery in Arkansas.  Fortunately, I decided on Dr. Walton and had a sleeve on December 1st.  So, come on and take part in Weightwise!

dont tell anyone I am a very BAD GIRL!

I am floating between 157 & 162 depending. I do eat things I should not on occasion and I freely admit it, but it is OK I know what I am doing when I am bad, so atleast I am not in denial! lol

I have been having issues since mid October with both my tail bone & my guts...

Good luck with the 360, I was too chicken to get that done!
