Just found this site for local sleevers!  Having a good journey so far (I'm about 8 weeks out)  Wondering what I am going to eat on Thanksgiving besides turkey.  I can live without mashed potatoes, but love stuffing and green bean casserole.  What are you all going to eat?
Hope you all have a nice Thanksgiving!

I am not sure I am considered local, but I'm taking a taste of everything! I won't overdo it, but I want to enjoy a bite of each of my favorite things!

That's my thinking, exactly. I'm not going to test the limits of my pouch, and I won't eat blindly or stupidly (not going to eat something that I know will make me dump) but I am going to have a taste of this and that! I refuse to obsess about food during this holiday!

Im not a sleever, I am a RNY'er...But I will have a small taste of all the stufff that won't make me dump. We are going to a friends home (she is a sleever) and I will not have to deal with leftovers or cooking. And that will be a huge relief!

Happy Turkey Day Y'all

Use a small plate to put your diner on is my best recommendation.  I found (and still find) that turkey sits really heavy in my tummy.  Eat a portion of turkey first then have a bite of the other holiday foods you love.  Don't waste space on stuff you can get at other times of the year.

As I recall from my first Thanksgiving I had like one or two bites of dressing, a couple of green beans, and a bite of pumpkin pie.  I was a happy camper.  I plan on following the same plan again tomorrow and I am almost 3 years out.

Good luck!  Happy Thanksgiving, all!

I have maintained for one year at this point.  I am steady at -120 pounds.  =)

I'm having a small bite of stuffing and turkey (no gravy - I've never liked it) some green beans, and a little pumpkin pie filling.  I'm also going over to friends for lunch so no leftovers there.  Later on, I'll have Thanksgiving at my 90 YO mom's house but I'm bringing some veggies.  I'm also bringing stuffing and pumpkin pie but they are store bought and I won't have any.
