weight loss by Dr B and flat tummy by Dr. Sawan
Woo-hoo!!! Just to check in and let everyone know that I am 8 days post op from a Lower Body Lift by Dr. Sawan. He did a great job!!! The pain was rough just out of recovery but those Summit nurses were all over it and had the pain under control before I completely flipped out! LOL What would we do without our Rita?
I won't really see the full effect of the surgery for a few more weeks when all the swelling is gone and the incision is completely healed. But, from what I can see right now - I am THRILLED!!! This is almost as life changing as having my WLS.
I hope everyone who works hard to lose their weight will have the option of having this procedure done to put the icing on the cake....cake...did someone say cake?!

You rock, Amy! I am so glad to have you as a pioneer to lead the way! Now, I am anxiously and impatiently awaiting my turn in December!
Flat tummy--- I can't even imagine looking down and seeing that on my own body. It will be an out-of-body experience! I don't think my tummy has ever been flat in my whole life, not even when I was a little kid.

I am sooooo happy for you! You are such an inspiration and I love following in your footsteps. I often feel like your stalker as I wait for you to post and see how you are doing! I think about you often and even mentioned your name when I had my consult with Dr. Sawan last weekend. I can't wait for him to take care of my apron. I plan to see him in April for the LBL! Congratulations! I am so happy you are happy!!!

Holy Cow Girl!! You have lost over 200 lbs!!!!! You are MY INSPIRATION!! That is so awesome. I'm happy for everyone no matter their weight loss but I understand how the "heavy weights" have to work a little bit harder for the results and it can be very discouraging when the light weights pass us by and hit goal while we still have 50 to 100 lbs to go.
Its so funny you say you mentioned me to Dr. Sawan becuase when I went for my consult I mentioned another poster on here named Russell who had his LBL with him too. I know they must be amazed at what a small network it is because we all know each other through this.
Are you going to have the surgery at summitt?

Awww! Thank you!
Yeah, I also mentioned Russell's name... I met him at support group once too. When I mentioned both of your names, Dr. Sawan smiled and said "oh, so no pressure!" LOL I know he does good work and can't wait to experience it for myself.
I will be having the surgery at Summit. I really can't imagine having it anywhere else. I really LOVE the staff there and feel like they are my family. All of the nurses are so wonderful. I had Dr. B take out my gall bladder back in July also, then ended up back in there in August due to a stomache bug, dehydration and heat exhaustion. They always take such good care of me.
Hugs to you! Thanks again for posting and as others have said... paying it forward.
PS... not sure if you check it often or not, but I did find you on FB and added you as a friend. I hope you don't mind.

Glad you're doing so well Amy!!! Congratulations, we all look forward to your posts and your continued success!!
You INSPIRE us all!! Thanks for staying "plugged in" to this forum. I get so busy sometimes living life now, that I forget to come on and answer questions for the lookers, lurkers and newbies, but when I do, you're always here....paying it forward..... You are such an awesome example.

I'm the same way...I have to remember to come check over here. Isn't it great that we are all out living our new fun lives now!! Woo-hoo!!! I do remember lurking for months on this board and the VSG board before deciding to have surgery so that is the reason I try to remember to come back and post so that others will know it is so worth it but at the same time understand that they have to "work it" and not think the WLS alone will fix all their problems.

Congratulations on the new flat tummy. I love reading about your journey. You have been around as long as I have been lurking. I look forward to hearing how you are progressing. I am considering using Dr. Sawain also and appreciate all the info you provide. If you ever get to the point for pictures I would be interested in seeing. What a great inspiration you have been.
