Question in the Tulsa Area
Hi there,
My name is Jackie and I had my rny in July 2009, I'm moving from Southern California to Tulsa, Oklahoma for a 6 month consulting contract. I was wondering if anyone could recommend a good fitness gym in the area that's reasonably priced. I belong to 24 hr fitness but they don't have any in OKlahoma :(
Would love any suggestions you have.
Thanks,
Jackie

What part of town are you looking for a gym? All American Fitness is where I belong and the one in Broken Arrow is open 24 hours except on weekends. There's another one in Tulsa. There are a few Gold's gyms in town too. So many come and then go out of business but these two have been around for awhile. All American has a some good rate specials too. Welcome to Tulsa.
Thanks Molly..
I'm not sure the exact area but I will probably be about 10 minutes from Down town.. more west I think. I'm moving in a couple weeks and not sure exactly where they are putting me up yet. I will look into that gym and see what they offer in the area. I appreciate your suggestion!

Hi Jackie,
I don't know the gyms in Tulsa but it's a great area to walk around. There's a lot of stuff to do by the river and downtown has a lot of things to see when you walk around. When I go to Tulsa, i like to go to the fair grounds and check out the flea market. Utica Square is also a good place to walk and look around.
I live in Oklahoma City but like to visit.

Thanks so much for your suggestion. This is my 2nd week in Tulsa and I have been researching gyms but didn't see this one. I was disappointed with Golds as I really liked their class schedule as I love step and zumba, etc... but they won't even offer a membership to a non-resident. They have a "deal" $50 per week.... WHATEVER.. not much of a deal.. I pay $12 per month for 24hour fitness in california, but I've been a member for 20 years.
So.. I am going to check this one out and planet fitness. I kinda like this one better because it has classes.
Much appreciated!! Happy workouts to you!
