Dr. Fisher and Medicare
Hi I'm Tanisha and I am using Dr. Katsis which is the same office as Dr. Fisher at Surgical Associates. I' ve been trying to have this surgery since May. Tomorrow will be my last pre-op required doctor visit. Dr. Fisher requires you to be seen by a cardiologist, pulmonay, psychiatric evaluation, lab work, sleep study, nutritionist, and have a letter from your primary doctor about his approval of you having the surgery. Then you also have to see Dr. Fisher. It's a head ache because my insurance which is Unicare (a medicare advantage plan) doesn't require all this pre-op stuff. He is a good and thorough doctor but getting all the doctor checks is a pain in the neck.
Just popping in to update. i have been to the seminar and i have turned in my five years of medical records and six months diet........ now i am waiting for my first consultation. I now know that Dr. Fisher asks for more than the insurance does. but thats alright at least i will have a good evaluation. each step closer just feels like such a big deal. lol. i have been in a wonderful mood all day since Dr. Fishers nurse called and let me know they had enough medical counting what i mailed in today. I just barely had the five years because befor i didnt have insurance therefor didnt go to the doctor. but appearently i had just enough. Thank you Father God.
Sometimes im the windshield and sometimes Im the bug, Blessing from God for both types !!!!!
Dr. Fisher did my by-pass and I think he's great. Yes, he does require a lot of pre-op stuff but that's just to make sure that we're healthy enough and that there are no surprises. He was awesome in the hospital and made me feel confident in him and his nurse.
I see you are from Glenpool. Me too. So is Dr. Fisher's nurse, Anita.
Send me an e-mail at [email protected] and I'll be glad to answer any other questions.
