Need Advice from those a year or more out of surgery

I've went past my weight loss goal by about 15 pounds and I'll be 2 years out in November.  I've had a few urinary tract infections since the surgery and I thought that's all it was.  Then yesterday when I had to do yet another urinalysis for a UTI, the results came back with very high levels of protein and glucose in my urine.  My doctor called me and told me she was really worried about me and thinks I could have diabetes.  I think that's CRAZY!  Preventing diabetes was the main reason I had the surgery in the first place.  I did a whole panel of blood work this morning but still haven't heard back about the results.  Has anyone had similar experiences?  Does it have anything to do with the VGS procedure and repercussions?  I'm really nervous and just baffled.  I'd appreciate any help anyone can give me.

Thanks!

I'm two years out and haven't had any problems with anything once I got past my original complications.  I am still very glad I had surgery.  I hope you can find some answers.  I would find it hard to believe the the surgery could cause those problems but I'm not a doctor.

Thanks,

Kim

Good news... the doctor doesn't think I have diabetes.  But my last blood tests showed really high levels of iron.  I have to do a few more test in about a week or so.  Who knows what's going on...

Anyway, I play to get down to see Dr. B in August.  Hopefully he'll get me straightened out.  I still haven't made it down for my last post-op appointment.  I'm excited to see everyone at the office again :)
