2 YEARS AGO I HAD THE GASTRIC SLEEVE AND HAVE NOT LOOKED BACK SINCE! I HAVE LOST 180LBS AND HAVE BEEN MAINTAINING AT 146LBS FOR A WHILE NOW. THAT WAS NOT MY INITIAL GOAL WEIGHT BUT I HAVE BEEN TOLD THAT IF I GOT DOWN TO 130LBS I WOULD BE TOO SKINNY. NEVER IN MY ADULT LIFE HAVE THE WORDS TOO SKINNY BEEN ASSOCIATED WITH ME AND I JUST GET GIDDY WHEN SOMEONE SAYS THAT! I THANK DR B FOR HELPING ME THRU THIS AND I ESPECIALLY THANK MY WONDERFUL HUSBAND AND FAMILY FOR BEING SO SUPPORTIVE! I DONT THINK I WOULD HAVE DONE AS WELL AS I HAVE WITHOUT THEM. NOW MY DAD IS GOING TO HAVE THE BYPASS NEXT MONTH AND I AM SO SUPER EXCITED FOR HIM. KEEP HIM IN YOUR PRAYERS PLEASE!!! AND THANKS TO ALL THE SUPPORT I RECEIVED FROM THE WONDERFUL PEOPLE ON THIS FORUM!!! ANYONE THINKING ABOUT THIS SURGERY IF YOU NEED SOMEONE TO TALK TO JUST HOLLER AND I WILL BE MORE THAN HAPPY TO HELP ANY WAY I CAN!

Wow, girl! I can't believe it's been 2 years already!  Time sure flies when you're having fun =) (and losing weight)...

As always, you have done such a great and inspirational job and I'm glad I know you!  Maintenance is the hardest part of the game... and you have rocked it!

Congratulations. You're an inspiration. I'm already worrying about maintaining and haven't hit my goal. I have used the time to read The Beck Diet Solution to try to prepare myself for the the long haul. Of course, I've never gotten this far on a diet before. What are your biggest challenges for maintaining?

Thanks,

Lois
