OKC Metro Area "Clothing Exchange"

HI All. I made a friend at a Weightwise support group meeting not too long ago and she and I would like to coordinate a Clothing Exchange. There may be a better name for what we're trying to do, but this will do for now.

Here's how our system will work: Everyone will keep their own clothes, but Dawn and I will keep a list of names and an inventory of the clothing people have to offer. We will send out periodic blanket emails requesting information on what you have or what you need, then we'll do what we can to connect the two parties. You can bring your clothes to a support group meeting or agree to meet at a local library, just be safe about it.

We're volunteering our time and offering our clothing to get things started. Anyone that is interested can send me your email via a PM or reply to this post, if you're comfortable leaving your email out on the forum.

Anyone with suggestions for improving this process, please reply as well.

Thanks in advance!

I'll start: I have business/casual attire in sizes 26, 28 & 30 and shoes in 8.5 or 9.

Are you aware that the WLS support group that meets in the Moore/Norman area does a clothing exchange about every three months?

I'd love to get rid of some clothes.   I have some business/casual including some capri's that are
18's and 20's.....all the pants are in short length's.  I'm 5'1"

Everything happens for a reason.

I'll find out when the next clothing exchange is scheduled and let you know.

I'd love for someone to have these and be using them.

Phyllis, tell me again what size you are in? I couldn't tell if you were responding to my initial thread or another reply.

I'll make note of everyone's information.

I would like to know when the next Norman Exchange is scheduled also.

I have also shopped sucessfully at the Goodwill stores. There is a Thrift store west of NW 16th and Meridian that is very reasonable on items too. My daughter and I have both gotten some very nice things there super cheap!
I've come down from size 30 to 18 so I've had to do some serious clothes hunting!
The clothing exchange is a good thing too.
