Weekly weigh In here!
Good Morning! I must confess that this week is the worst, most embarrassing week for me to publicly post my weigh in. So......if I CAN DO IT, then no one else has any excuse! LOL Who runs a 1/2 marathon and gains weight?! Crazy! I'm hoping most of this is water and I guess its time to stop carb loading! LOL
Last week: 169
Today: 174
Difference +5 HOLY COW!

DF,
It is probably increased muscle mass from all of your hard work! Congratulations on finishing your race, exercising so enthusiasticly, being a great role model for wls winners, and especially for surviving 15 years ago. You are a blessing to many of us.
Last Week: 154
Today: 151.5
Goal: 128
??????
This goal weight is my choice; it is in the upper range of "normal" for my height (5'1"). My surgeon hasn't given me a goal and my pcp was overjoyed 30# ago. How did others settle on their goals? One site suggested 105# as an "ideal" weight for me. While I am short, I have average hands, feet, etc for my height. Am I using that as an excuse and setting my goal too high? Will I intuitively know when I hit a weight that feels healthy for me? (At 55, healthy is my main goal, not model thin.) Some of my truly loving, caring family & friends are worried that I will go too far; they all seem to know someone who did. I'm worried that I might sell myself short and have assured my favorite aunt that I won't turn into a parody of an aging sex kitten.
Sorry for highjacking the thread, but I would appreciate some input. Thanks again, DF for starting the weigh in.

I think all of us have had friends and family express concern over losing too much. They have a hard time adjusting to how we look and at times during our loss our faces can look a bit scary. I keep changing my goal as I go. The life insurance chart says 144 but personally I think 150 would be awesome and 160 would be maintainable. But the closer I get to 160 the more I think of 150. Basically, I don't know how to answer the goal question. I think we each figure it out as we get there.
Great job on your weight loss this week!!! You pulled a big number and you are really getting down there so that is awesome!!

Hi, Amy,
I only weigh at doctor's offices so my last weight was 265. I go to Journey next week and will weigh there. My goal is to be healthy so I'm not sure what my weight should be. I went to the gym tonight and pumped tin (the weights I used don't qualify for iron).
Also, I saved the marathon section from the paper yesterday that had your interview in it. Would you like it? You looked fantastic. I didn't see you but I was marshaling at mile marker 11 and there was a guy running at 7:00 a.m. in a kilt and no shirt. I have no idea what else he wasn't wearing. How on earth do you runners stay warm?

Hey Donna! I remember mile 11, that is when I thought I would die! LOL Thanks for the encouragement. My proud husband bought about 5 papers! LOL The crazy thing is that I think I know the guy in the kilt. It is the husband of someone my hubby works with. weird if you ask me!
