I posted a few days ago that my surgeon's office had not submitted my paperwork to insurance yet.  Well they still haven't.  I spoke to a lady in the office who was rather rude last week.  If they could just give me a good reason why it is taking so long, I would be ok.  They have told me on Mar. 29th they just got my records from my PCP, they said same thing on 6th, 12th, 15th I called this is when I told them I was disappointed, I talked to someone else she got a little stern with me.  Told me even after they send it to insurance they would get it back to make sure they have all the documentation they need and they would have to send it back again.  That it could take up to a month to get it all back from the insurance. My insurance covers this procedure I have already spoken with them.  THIS IS FRUSTRATING!!!  I know it has been 6 weeks.  What upsets me is they told me on March 9th, three to four weeks!!!!  I they had told me it would be 2 or 3 months fine.  Don"t tell me 3 weeks and 6 weeks later be rude to me!!!  How long did any of you have to wait to have surgery.  Am I just being impatient?

I ran in to none of the difficulties you have had at WeightWise in Edmond OK. They have been nothing but nice.  Everything is Explained to you. You are given goals to meet and then once you meet those goals they are ready to get you in to sugery.  They have patient advocates who call you and follow up on progress and help keep you on track with goals and appointments.  I would recomend them to any and everyone. Just a wonderful group!

Start to fin**** took about 5 months for me. I saw my PCM on 12-3-08 and was refered to the WLS program, I attended the seminar 1-20-09, got my psych eval, 2 nutrition appointmes, clearence from my PCM, EKG & blood work, EDG all done by 3-15-09 and my surgery was 5-5-09. It is a process and it can take some time. Patients is something that all WLS folks have to have.
Now if the staff is rude, I would address that with the Surgeon. And you can always find a new one if you think they are not working in your best interest.
Good Luck to ya!

Ok, I am also a patient of Dr Warnock's and I have never had any issues with anyone on the staff, so perhaps they were just having a bad day?  I don't know...  But I know it can take a few months up to a year even to get everything sorted out with appts, insurance, and setting a date to be able to get the surgery.  He is such a competent surgeon and a kind person, I really hope you won't give up on him.  Just my 2 cents...  Best of luck to you and hope to see you on the losing side soon!!

I had no issues from my doctors office but before switching insurances I fought for my surgery for over a year. I went in for my seminar in August and my new insurance required 12 weeks of prediet but OWLO used that 12 weeks to do all the testing and prep work so when the 12 weeks was up I was in surgery with in a week or so.
