Thank you all for your encouraging words. I have decided to go ahead with my surgery. I think I just had too much time to worry about all the things that could go wrong that I forgot all the benefits that the surgery can give me. I am going to schedule my surgery as soon as my pcp faxes my info to Dr. Keith. All of youre posts meant so much to me. Thank you all! =)

I certainly would NOT have surgery if you are not 100% committed to it. To the eating plan, the changes in your life and body and life AFTER surgery. It is a HUGE change. A good one and one that is going to get you healthy and thin, but a HUGE change.

Just take more time if you need it. Don't be pressured or feel you have to just go ahead and do it since you have already said that's what you want. Just go at your pace or not at all! Do more research on the type of surgery you want, or all of them if you are undecided.

There are risks. There are those that do have complications. Will you? No one, not even your surgeon can tell you that. Any time the human body is opened up and forgien objects slicing and sewing and cutting into it with strange chemicals there is going to be a risk. Statistically your chances of a PERFECT surgery and walking out whole and healthy, but, being aware and having a plan in place is a must!

Good luck sweety and do what is best for you!! Be informed and do what you FEEL is right. Pray if you believe in that to help you get the answers you are in need of.

Best wishes and answering prayers to you!
*big hugs*

I WAS GONNA SAY THAT I DIDNT HAVE A LONG WAIT BEFORE MY SURGERY BUT IN TRUTH I HAD BEEN WAITING FOR ABOUT 5 YEARS TO HAVE THIS SURGERY. BECAUSE MY INSURANCE WOULDNT PAY AND I HAD TO FIND A WAY TO PAY FOR IT MYSELF. FINALLY WAS ABLE TO GET A MEDICAL LOAN AND I WAS READY! THIS IS SOMETHING THAT ONLY YOU CAN DECIDE IF ITS BEST FOR YOU BUT FOR ME IT WAS THE GREATEST THING! I WILL NOT GO BACK TO THE WAY I WAS BEFORE! I REFUSE!!! MY TINY STOMACHE WILL NOT LET ME AND I LOVE IT!! EVEN IF I CRAVE SOMETHING I SHOULDNT EAT I HAVE FOUND IF I TAKE 1 BITE I AM SATISFIED AND THAT CRAVING IS GONE!! I KNOW THATS NOT WHAT THE DOCTOR AND NUTRITIONIST WANT TO HEAR BUT I CANT HELP THAT. I HOPE EVERYTHING WORKS OUT FOR YOU. THIS SURGERY HAS GIVEN ME MY LIFE BACK AND I NEVER THOUGHT I WOULD LOOK LIKE THIS AGAIN! I LOVE MY NEW BODY WITH A FEW EXCEPTIONS OF HANGING SKIN BUT YOU KNOW I CAN COVER THAT STUFF UP. I CAN SHOP AT REGULAR STORES NOW INSTEAD OF ALWAYS HAVING TO GO TO FASHION BUG. I CAN EVEN COMFORTABLY GO TO THE GOODWILL STORE. I KNOW SOME PEOPLE HAVE HAD BAD EXPERIENCES BUT I THINK THE GOOD FAR OUTWEIGHS THE BAD. GOOD LUCK IN YOUR DECISION AND JOURNEY. IF THERE IS ANYTHING I CAN DO JUST HOLLER!!!
