They should make boulion flavored with Pizza, Steak, and everything else everyone eats around you during the first 2 weeks.

Hang in there Heavy!  I know exactly how you feel.  Those 2 weeks are rough.  Toward the end I was getting PF Changs egg drop soup and straining the heck out of that and drinking it.  It was like heaven.  I couldn't have survived without it.  I also got the double noodle chicken soup from campbells in the bag and strained it too.  Another thing that saved me was sugar free snow cones once we FINALLY SEE SPRING!  If it will warm up and the snow cone stands get open, try that.  The ice feels good on the swollen insides and the flavor makes you feel normal.

I just have a few more days.  Wesnesday I can start on soft Protiens.  Cant wait for some scrambled eggs. This morning after shoveling snow for an hour and a half I enjoyed some hot sauce in the boulion.  Not bad I might add. well off to relax for the rest of the day... ;) I hope!

Lots of people puke up that first egg because they go too fast so just remember to go painfully slow.  That's what I did and I was fine.  I never threw up until about a month ago actually.  I just ate small bites and slow, pausing see how I felt between each bite.  Just a few more days!!! Let us know how heavenly that first egg tastes.  One thing someone on this board told me (Anna) was to put a tablespoon of cottageg cheese when I scramble my egg.  I hate cottage cheese but this idea was brilliant. It kept the egg soft and creamy and didn't taste like cottage cheese plus added some extra protien.

wow...I hate it to but willing to give that a try! Along with hot sauce..hahaha...kidding....maybe.  Drinking liquids are definatly different than solids.  I can tell with Jello.  Monday is my post op diet class where I am assuming there will be major discussion about stage two the 2nd and 3rd week of  soft proteins.  Thanks for the tip on the egg!     ;)
