As I write this I can hardly beleive that it's nearly been a year since I was planning and prepairing for my upcomming surgery. My entire life has done a full 180 since then. Within the last 12 months I have undergone RNY, lost 100lbs, Had a tummy tuck, Cut off all my hair, Met the man of my dreams, and in exactly 10 days I will marry that man. I then have this crazy plan to quit the job that has basicly defined me for the last 4 years and go back to college to get that nursing degree I've dreamed about for so long. Once i'm done with school I really hope I can go into Bariatrics in some capacity...I really feel the need to give back to this field that I feel has totally reformed my life. In this last year I have learned so much about myself, who I am, and who I want to be...I wanted to thank each one of my OH friends and I will try to start logging on more often! I love you guys!

They say that WLS is a wild ride, sounds like that's definitely true for you!  Congrats on your upcoming wedding and I do hope that you go into Bariatrics when you finish nursing school, it's always nice to be taken care of by someone who has been there.

Best wishes on your upcoming nuptials. What an exciting way to cap off a whirlwind year. Thanks for sharing. You will be a blessing to many as a nurse.

Congratulations girl!!!  That is awesome!  I know that it made all the difference in the world having nurses that had "been there and done that" care for me after my WLS.  I think more bariatric patients just go into the field because it really does make a difference for people to know that you understand because you have been there.
