MY BABY'S BABY!!!

Yes!  My granddaughter is here!   She was born 1/14 at 10:53 pm, 6 lbs even, 19" long.  My father's birthday, who died over 20 years ago, who was such an awesome man, was on the 14th.  Over a week ago, Kate told me that her goal was to have her on my dad's birthday, which made me all weepy-eyed, and all be, it happened.  That was so special for my Mom and I.  Her name is R'Rhiana Maree.  Kate was in labor all day and around 10:00 pm the dr. said the baby was in some distress and wanted to go ahead and take her.  She had a C-Section, and it was such a good thing the dr made that decision, because the cord was wrapped around her neck.  She is still in pre-natal ICU because she asperated some fluid, so she is on IV anti-biotics and heart moniter.  She also won't latch on to Kate and suck, so they put a feeding tube down her last night.  Please join us in prayers for my baby's precious baby.  The pediatrician said she will be fine though.  Kate has to be wheeled down to her, but we are hoping she can go to her room and stay by tomorrow.  They did have to do CPR on her when she was born.  Kate and baby daddy is, of course, beside theirselves.  We are believing she is going to be just fine, and once she get some nurishment in her, she will "come around".  She is so beautiful, and I am in love.  I had the chance to watch Kate interact with her last night, and she is so great with her.  I cried when Kate said the first time she got to really hold her wasn't until 3:00 the next morning, and she said she couldn't stop kissing her, and couldn't believe that she could have so much love for someone she just "met".  Told her now she has an idea of the love we have for her, and it only gets stronger.  I am attaching my 2 fav pics.  The one with Kate, little R'R looks like she is smiling up at her.  The ones below didn't turn out too good, but there are clearer pics on my photo album.   Love y'all.  Michael
