I am jumping the gun by a few years but after my surgery and weightloss I already know I will need plastics, and will have to save alot of money so I am wondering for those of you who have
1. What you had done
2. Who did it
3. What you paid
4. Your happiness with the final results

I am really wanting to stick to Oklahoma doctors but if you have another to rave about let me know.

Thanks

Hi!  You are going to get mixed responses to this post.  I was one of those who jumped the gun!
I had surgery last Dec. 16.  I has plastics Sept 3 of this year.  I really just went to the plastic surgeon to see what he thought.  If there was hope that some day I might have plastics and be able to be helped.
He told me he could give me wonderful results that I would be happy with now.  I have about 20 lbs left to lose but I'm very muscular so He felt I would be fine with surgery now.

I went to Tulsa Surgical Arts and saw Dr. Cuzalina.  I would recommend him to EVERYONE I know.  He is young, very informed and the TOP in his field.
I had a Full Tummy Tuck, Both arms lifted, Breast Lift with Augmentation.  All at one time.
My cost was $14,500.00  ( My car payment for the next 5 years!)  LOL!

Good Luck with your choice!

When I stand before God at the end of my life, I would hope that I would not have a single bit of talent left, and could say, "I used everything you gave me." Erma Bombeck

Thanks for the info, that is pretty much the surgeries i want done, I am thinking I might end up needing a butt lifft or body lift (whatever you call it) also.  That seems like a really good deal for all those surgeries, I would like to not have to have implants and possibly just a lift but who knows maybe my weightloss will spare my boobs but i doubt it.  Thanks so much for your reply and I looked at your photos, you have done so good and look great, I can't wait to get started on my journey

I haven't had it done yet but have asked around and researched.  Dr. Pancell is one of the most regarded plastics in OKC.  They say he does the best body work around. I know people who used him and have fantastic results.  My sister has a friend in the plastic business who said he is the only person she woudl use.  His web site has before and after photos.  Genisis something or another is what his practice is called but just google Pancell and Genisis in OKC.

I'm looking at 3 surgeries over a year and a half time period.  My goal is to get to 160 and maintain for a couple of months and then in October of 2010 have the first one done...the big tummy tuck and inner thigh area.

He is expensive.  It will be about $8,000 a surgery for me.  I need a money tree!

I'm about 6 days out of my anchor TT/Lower body lift. I had the rare opprotunity to be able to use the same doctor for this that I used for my RNY back in March. I was also very lucky in that my insurance covered 100% since I had met my out of pocket max and deductibles for 09 before having the second surgery. Let me say, I know I'm really early out, but so far I couldn't be more pleased with my results! I've never had a flat tummy in my life and now...I do. No more saggy butt, and no more loose flappy skin hanging over my girly parts. I plan to have my "girls" worked on sometime in 2010 and I'm not sure which Dr. I'll use for that, My Dr. dosn't do them, or it would be him! I will say that I had the chance to meet and talk with Dr. Panchall...and I was not impressed at all. His personality and demeninor just screamed arrogance to me...but perhaps it's warented...I wouldn't know. He came and spoke at a support group meeting in Lawton Ok that I attented, that's the extent of my experience with him. Dr. Warnock (my Dr.) said he has a plastic surgeon that he will refer me to for boobs when the time comes, but I have to get healed from this TT first!!

I had a tummy tuck done one year after my rny I was no where near goal but because of having mrsa dr. keith and i decided to get rid of the skin...dr cynthia nydick of moore did my surgery.. I am so friggin pleased with what she did that I have recommended her to alot of post ops.
I am gonna be blunt to the point. Most surgeons do not accept insurance for this procedure. the one that deb recommended doesnt and he is also very particular about his patients..they can not have any previous stomach surgeries..such as open incisions and if they have had lapo he is critical of the incisions... I went to a dr. love here in okc to have my arms and legs done and loved his attitude. i have to wait another 5 months to see if he will do me...haha to many surgeries in 22 months makes me a poor candidate.
keep this in the back of your mind...your focus is on losing weight the skin will come later...I can tell you first hand that you cant make plans on anything with wls.. compications arise and delays can happen. exercise  and tone up. also most cosmetic surgeons want you at goal and at least 18 months post op unless you have medical issues relating to excess skin...
I think on my profile I have a pic of my skin hanging down the day before I had my tummy tuck..the skin hung almost to my knees....
being healthy has its rewards....take the challenge and just do it

My insurance did cover my plastics that I had done.  I had an anchor-cut TT done in January 2006 by Dr Warnock (my bariatric surgeon).  He did a major hernia repair at that same time.  I was pleased with the results of my TT, though I did scar pretty badly (probably a result of too many surgeries in too little time).  My breast reduction was done in August 2006 with Dr Quang Tu at Midwest Regional Hospital in Midwest City.  Again, some scarring, but great results.  My stomach is not as tight as it was when I had my surgery, but still flat and I'm happy with that.  I've had a baby since both of my p.s. and might someday get the "girls" worked on again.  I like Dr Tu, he's good and his prices are fair.  He also does take insurance.  I, too, have met Dr. Panchal and he does not take any form of insurance.  He also does seem picky on the clientele, but just my 2 cents.  He's probably very good at what he does, but he's very expensive.
