Falling on your ass.
How many of my fellow Okies have fallen on your ass? I just did trying to go out to the mail box. The thing that bothers me is that I am only three weeks out from surgery. I hope I did not do any damage. I am not feeling any pain except in my palms which took the brunt of the fall. Be safe my friends.

As a nurse, you know the wrists are the worst things to fall on. When Mountain biking, i can tuck and roll, on foot-I hit my wrist every time.
I didn't fall, but I forgot I had three steps off my porch and that third step was a doozy.
Be careful-you are probably fine, but don't test that by falling any more!

I know when I was around a week post-op from my WLS, I fell backwards out of my shower and landed on my back (and ass). I thought I surely had popped a staple, done damage, or something, but I thankfully hadn't. Likely, you didn't, but definitely be careful being so soon out of your WLS. Was yours also an open surgery (mine was)? I hope your palms feel better soon!

I took a fall last Jan. during the ice storm and hit my head in the parking lot of my work. I had to go to the E.R.. I had a bump the size of a softball. I have since bought Yak Tracs. They slip onto your shoes. My head still is not the same. Be careful out there. My co workers put big heavy socks over their shoes.... they say it keeps them from slipping on ice.
