So today is my 4 week post op. I had my Surgery on 11/25/09 and I am down 25lbs!!!(since being released from the hospital). And down about 45 lbs since starting the whole process!!!  And down 54lbs from my highest weight..lol..  I am really excited.  The only issue I have been having is with constipation. I am taking miralax every other day, but I still stay constipated?? I do get anywhere from 50-70 oz of water a day.   Any advice on that??  I have been really surprised that I haven't had too many times where I just really miss eating and eating and eating.  I get full so fast that it just hasn't bothered me like I thought it would.  I truely stay satisfied.  I think this was the best Christmas present I could have given myself!!  Now I hope I get lots of gift cards for Christmas so I can go by me some new clothes, they are starting to hang off of me : )

Sorry I can't help you but I haven't had the problem yet.  I don't think my clothes are hanging yet but hopefully, that will happen.  I agree with you that I am staying satisfied and I even managed to go to a movie over 2 hours and just drink part of a water bottle.  That's never happened.

Hopefully, someone else will know how to fix the constipation problem.

Try taking less Miralax more often.  Half a dose every day keeps me very regular.  Try taking at the same time too.  Think of it as a conveyor belt...a little oil on a regular basis keeps it running smoothly.

Congrats on being a "loser"!!!

Dr Walton told me it could take up to 6 months for my body to regulate itself again. I took Miralax every day for several months and then weaned down to every other day, to a couple times a week, and then just occassionally. Now at almost 18 months I can't remember the last time I used it.
