You all might want to post if there is a COST to attend the support group at Weight Wise. When I've called it had a cost. I'd done a consult with one of their docs back in 2007 due to a wide open stoma and a lower intestine stenosis. So I'm "in" the program. Being a super long termer post OPEN RNY proximal it is really sometimes tough going to these support groups and actually getting any support! (note: waiting to get the ROSE precedure for the stoma repair if anyone knows of an OKLA doc doing this procedure)
Feel free to look over my profile pics of before and afters.
I will say that I was VERY impressed with the process for the Weight Wise patients..great supportive staff in 2007 and good pre op education plus it's great they have that 'store' that carries all the bariatric supplements for posties!

That's good to know that there is no cost..perhaps in the last 2 years that changed!
With being such a long term post op it's been tough trying to find a surgeon that would take me on as a patient to even consult with about the issues I've had with the surgery. None of them MY fault or self induced. I had strictures early out and the Doc thinks that all those many many dialations to keep that stoma open contributed to the wide open stoma down the line.
I think now there are more and more post ops running around in the world the programs are all finally realizing we ALL need support no matter doc/surgeon did the surgery in the first place.
(note..I moved out of state/out of the country and my surgeon no longer does the surgery & moved out of state too!)
Hopefully with work scheduling I'll get to finally go to a support meeting and see how it goes!
