I Litterally just got word that I have a date for my TT and it's set for Dec 29th! I'm excited and a little nervous, I was about resigned to the fact that it wasn't going to happen this year, but i'm so glad it did becuase my insurance will cover it totally and it won't cost me a penny! So now to all of you who've had a TT...tell me what to expect. Some people I talk to say it was the most painful experience of their life and others say it was no big deal...What say yall?

Congrats!!  I am jealous.  I want to do that so bad but of course, my insurance didn't cover my WLS, so they sure aren't doing a TT!!  What insurance plan do you have?  It's an awesome one I think.  What a wonderful New year's present.  My sister-in-law had one and she said "it was the most painful experience of her life".  I've heard the same thing from others though that it was no big deal.  I guess it just depends on the individual.  Good luck!

This is the ride of my life.....what an amazing tool I now have!!!

I had the 360 in June of 09 and it was not that bad at all.  I had surgery on a Tue. and was back at work (wasn't supposed to) a week later on light duty,  mainly because I was going crazy at the house.  I took pain meds for about 3 days and then tylenol after that.  I credit most of my success to my surgeon, who is an awesome plastic surgeon,  Dr. Kamal Sawan and a bunch of great people at Foundation Bariatric Hospital.  So best of luck and be ready because I won't kid you there is pain involved but the end results are worth every bit of it!!!  You'll do great and I would do it again in a heartbeat.

Thanks Russell,
that helps some! I'm still a little scared but I have faith in my surgeon and I'm sure all will go well, I'm haivng a full 360 as well, I'm a little worried about being able to get comfortable afterward but my peeps on the PS board say that with enough pain meds I can be comfortable, so we'll see! Now i'm sure December will fly just like the rest of the year!!

My company has a great MLOA plan so I'll be taking a full 6 weeks. Unless I get too bored, in that case I might come back early...but I doubt it.
