HAD A BIG OL' PIECE OF PIE!!!!
Yep, sho did! I have been wondering lately if I am anywhere near "skinny" to other people. Now I am even seeing a big difference, as does everyone who knew me prior to surgery. I look skinny to me, compared to before!! BUT, what about regular people who don't know me, just taking their first glance at me. Am I skinny to them; am I still overweight, am I just right? WHAT? Well today I went to the lobby of my job to call back I client I had been working with. There was just one lady up there, and asked her if she had seen a gray-haired gentleman. She thought he was talking to someone else right then. I started to walk back to my office and my client came up to the woman, and she said "THAT BIG GUY IS LOOKING FOR YOU" OMG! Well the lady was keeping me humble. My big ole piece of humble pie was served without sugar, just plain. I guess I have my answer! Love y'all, Michael
Michael dont let it get you down. I know I am still a big girl to many litt;le people but from where we have came and how we feel it doesnt matter what they think. I am now in a 14-16 which is not a big girl in my opinion but is in others. You look great and look at where you were a year ago and how far you have come so far. Dont let her take anything from your success.
Who cares what a complete stranger thinks? Are you healthy? Are you happy? 'Nuff said!
FYI - one of they ladies in my office likes to call me "big girl". I hate it! And didn't really like her to I realized that she calls all of the girls that, even the stick figures. I still find it offensive but don't give her the power to hurt my feelings. She's no stick herself! LOL
Love ya Muffin! Glad to see you posting and working and being skinny!

i know this is kinda unrelated but your post just made me think of something thats been happening lately. the people at work never really knew me as 350 pounds AM, they know me as shrinking girl, never that big here when i moved to oklahoma, so i guess they forget my history (and they all know about my wls, etc), anyways- ive been noticing more and more lately people think its ok to make "big" people comments in my precense. im still offended even though im not that girl anymore!
Well Michael, I'm thinking she needed her glasses adjusted!!!!! You look AWESOME!!! Who cares what everyone else thinks...we know how far we've come don't we and that is absolutely all that matters. It's all relative anyway... Speaking about pie by the way, I didn't have the "humble pie" but I did have some real apple pie and it was soooo good until I got finished and I was sicker than a dog!!! I won't be having any pie any time soon. I am thankful though that I dump on sugar.....the reason I did the gastric by pass!!! It is a reminder of where I was. Hang in there Michael...your tool is working for sure. We love you too my friend.

I know what you mean. I was feeling all skinny and stuff and then started doing all these biking and running events. I am always the "big girl" in the crowd. But hey, compared to where we have come from we are TINY!!!! And, you look small to me so there you go! You look great! Sometimes people also refer to big as someone how is tall or big boned and not fat. In fact, if you think about it.....had the person thought you were fat they would NOT have said something about the big guy because then that would have been offensive....know what I mean?
