One year ago today.......

One year ago today I weighed 317 pounds....this morning I weighed in at 163! I have gone from a size 24 to a 10/12....All I can say is WOW! This has definately been the best thing that I could have ever done for myself and my family. I can't take all of the credit because I had a great bunch of OH friends that helped me in sooo many ways. I am greatful everyday for this opportunity that I have been given and I will never again take my life for granted. Life is too short to be miserable in your own skin. My only regret is not having done this sooner. I have been lucky and have not had any real complications....I have lost some "so-called" friends and gained some new friends...but all in all this was the best decision I have ever made.

Thanks again to all of you for being there to listen, encourage and inspire me. I hope that I can give the same to others that are on this journey.

Happy surgiversary my friend. Yes, it has been quite a ride, hasnt it? Just remember...how we were in rooms side by side each other....just knocked out this time last year....creeping down the hall looking mad at folks remembering to walk walk walk. I am so proud of you, girl you have done so well. God has truly blessed you this year and you have many more blessings to look forward to. Thanks for being an awesome friend.

Oh yeah! We Rock!!! We have been on a wild ride and it has been a blast...even with the foamies I am so glad that this journey has brought us together...I couldn't have asked for a better surgery buddy! We need to hit the town soon! T-town better watch out!

Thanks Marsha...your year is right around the corner...and you are rockin that new tummy too. At least we won't be on liquids for the holidays this year...lol

oh man...amen to that!!! I remember...I was so not happy....i just wanted a piece of turkey..instead I had chicken broth...ugh

Lorna~ I sent you congrats on your 1st Surgiversary on FB, but I send them on here, as well.  I'm glad to have been a part of your journey, from pre-op to now and beyond!  The future holds many more great accomplishments for you!  *hugs*
